Kristina Smiltnieks

Kristina Smiltnieks is an Illustrator, 3D Modeler and Designer based in Toronto, Canada. She graduated with high honours from the Bachelor of Illustration program at Sheridan College. Subsequently she has augmented her skills with Humber College's 3D Modeling and VFX Production program and professional online training in 3D Modeling with the 3D Training Institute.

Kristina was born in Canada and spent her grade school years in Vienna Austria in close association with the United Nations community there. Her history of growing up in an international environment and her daily exposure to the broad perspectives of a vibrant international community have provided her with a culturally-rich and diverse foundation coupled with an open-minded approach.

Kristina has travelled through many parts of the world and has involved herself in activities ranging from scuba diving to ballet to rugby. Illustration and Modeling, however, are driving passions and she has not yet stopped exploring their many facets.

Kristina describes herself as a creative thinker, one who likes to learn from, and add initiative and imagination to a team of creative and skilled people. She has a broad range of organizational, technical, and artistic skills and is known among her colleagues as one who brings strong design sensibilities to a team, supporting creativity without losing sight of practicalities and objectives.
